I am a teacher and writer, who has called Barcelona his home since 1988. The Catalan capital and rest of the Principality are a fascinating place to live and work and the Catalan culture and language are a continual source of inspiration for my writing.
My first book 'Going Native in Catalonia' was published by NativeSpain in August 2008 and is apparently selling very well. I am currently working on a number of projects including a detective novel set in Barcelona, a book about Spanish football, a teach yourself Catalan book and a history of Catalunya. After twenty years of living here, I'm in the lucky position of having done the lion's share of the research and it's just a question of getting down to doing the writing. I have just sacked my agent and am currently without representation, so if you're interested in finding out more about my work or have a profitable book proposal, please get in touch through the contact form.
One of the reasons why I find it so easy to write is that I am very active blogger - I set up blogs with a view to a book project and pretty much the books write themselves. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I've got a day job - I teach English at the Servei de Llengues of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona - and I've got a beautiful wife and daughter.

2009 Update
In November 2008, I decided to set up a website as a research project for my book on Spanish football. I came across a great system called SBI - spain-football.org is going well and I've got three publishers arguing over who's going to put the book out. If you're prepared to work hard at creating a website, check out the video. If you're looking for a Get Rich Quick Scheme I strongly suggest you look somewhere else.
All I can say is that SBI has worked for me.
